Correlation Coefficient Calculator

By Jim Frost Leave a Comment

This correlation coefficient calculator measures the strength and direction of a linear relationship between two variables. Simply enter paired data into the table. Or copy and paste from a spreadsheet and the table will add rows as needed. You can enter up to 300 data rows, and the calculator will automatically ignore incomplete or invalid rows. The editable headers are used for the axis labels in the graph.

The calculator displays Pearson’s correlation coefficient (r) along with its p-value. It also includes a scatterplot with a fitted line, helping you visualize the relationship between your variables and check that it is a linear. Below the correlation coefficient calculator, you’ll find more information about interpreting r-values and examples for using this tool effectively. See all my Statistical Calculators!

If you’d like to obtain the equation for the line, use my free online Linear Regression Calculator! It analyzes the relationship between two variables using simple linear, quadratic, or cubic models. It also graphs the data with the best fit line, displays the regression equation, and provides key model statistics.
